Michael McAleer holds a PhD (Economics), Queen's University, Canada. He is University Research Chair Professor, Department of Finance, College of Management, and Department of Bioinformatics and Medical Engineering, College of Information and Electrical Engineering, Asia University, Taiwan; Erasmus Visiting Professor of Quantitative Finance, Econometric Institute, Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands; Adjunct Professor, Department of Economic Analysis and ICAE, Complutense University of Madrid (founded 1293), Spain; Adjunct Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. On numerous occasions, he has been a distinguished visiting professor at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University and Osaka University, Japan; University of Padova (founded 1222), Italy, Complutense University of Madrid (founded 1293), Spain; Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy; University of Zurich, Switzerland; University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong; and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is an elected Distinguished Fellow of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (DFIETI), and an elected Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (FASSA), International Environmental Modelling and Software Society (FIEMSS), Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (FMSSANZ), Tinbergen Institute, The Netherlands, Journal of Econometrics, and Econometric Reviews. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Risk and Financial Management (MDPI), and has guest-edited numerous Special Issues in JRFM. In terms of academic publications, he has published 1000+ journal articles and books in economics, financial econometrics, quantitative finance, risk and financial management, econometrics, statistics, time series analysis, energy economics and finance, sustainability, carbon emissions, climate change econometrics, forecasting, informatics, data mining, bibliometrics, and international rankings of journals and academics.

Prof. Dr. Shawkat Hammoudeh, Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA

Prof. Shawkat Hammoudeh is an expert in gas and oil pricing, and its effects on the economy. He has served as the senior economist to the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries and as a researcher for the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. He has earned grants to study world oil prices and is the co-author of journal articles on the price of gas and oil and its connection to the U.S. markets.
Hammoudeh earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Baghdad and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Kansas. He is current Editor-in-Chief of the Section “Energy and Environment: Economics, Finance and Policy” in JRFM (MDPI).

Prof. Dr. Siri A. Terjesen, Florida Atlantic University (FAU), USA

Dr. Siri Terjesen is the Associate Dean of Research and External Relations and the Phil Smith Professor of Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, Florida, and Professor .2 at the Norwegian School of Economics (Norges Handelshøyskole: NHH) in Bergen, Norway. She joined FAU in August 2019 from American University in Washington D.C., where she served as Professor and Director of the American University Center for Innovation and was co-PI of the NSF I-Corps site grant to commercialize tech-based entrepreneurship.
Dr. Terjesen is a nationally recognized expert in higher education, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. She serves as one of 14 voting directors on the National Board for Education Sciences (NBES), which advises the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute for Education Sciences and oversees approximately USD 1 billion in education research annually. This pro bono federal appointment by the U.S. President will continue until 2024. Dr. Terjesen has served as a reviewer for similar national-level efforts for the Swedish and Norwegian governments’ higher education schemes, and has also been an advisor to the World Bank, Kauffman Foundation, and a variety of think tanks. Dr. Terjesen is an affiliated researcher with Catalyst (New York), Indiana University’s Institute for Development Strategies, and the Ratio Institute (Stockholm), and serves on the board of Strata, a 501c3 attached to Utah State University.
Dr. Terjesen’s teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and executive education levels has received several awards, including FAU College of Business’ most outstanding teacher (2020) and American University’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life’s most outstanding faculty member (2017) and Kogod School of Business as “excellent” in teaching (highest recognition every year), and Indiana University’s Sauvain Undergraduate Professor of the Year and Alpha Kappa Psi’s student-selected favorite professor awards. She mentors fifteen students through the UNCF Koch Scholars program.
Dr. Terjesen’s research on entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and strategy has been published in over 80 articles, 2 books, many white papers, and manuscripts (e.g., for Kauffman Foundation, World Bank, and U.S. Small Business Administration), and has received over 11,000 citations on Google Scholar. She publishes in leading journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Leadership Quarterly, and Strategic Management Journal. Her research is featured in international media including Bloomberg, US News & World Report, the Times, and CNBC. Dr. Terjesen is current Editor-in-Chief of the Section “Business and Entrepreneurship” in JRFM (MDPI).
Dr. Terjesen received her undergraduate education at the University of Richmond (1997), her master’s at NHH in Norway (2002) as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, PhD at Cranfield University in the UK (2006), and postdoc at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

Prof. Dr. Thanasis Stengos, University of Guelph, Canada

Prof. Thanasis Stengos joined the Department of Economics at the University of Guelph in 1984, where he was University Research Chair from 2004 to 2019. He received his BSc and MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and PhD from Queen's University.
His main teaching area is econometrics. His research interests are in nonparametric methods and empirical growth. He has published in many other areas in economics, including labor, empirical finance, applied demand analysis and economic history. Prof. Thanasis Stengos is Editor-in-Chief of the Section “Economics and Finance” in JRFM (MDPI) and Guest Editor of several successful Special Issues in JRFM, such as Special Issue "Nonparametric Econometric Methods and Application"; Special Issue "Recent Developments in Cryptocurrency Markets: Co-movements, Spillovers and Forecasting".
